Located in the small village of Carlsbad by the Sea, the Army Navy Academy was founded in 1910. This prestigious all-boys, 7th – 12th grade, private, college-prep, military school grooms the world’s future leaders. The campus was in need of a new athletic facility to call their own. With the extraordinary generosity of the Duffield family & together with House & Dodge Architects, embrio design studio & Turner Construction their dream became a reality.
The new athletic facility called Duffield Sports Center includes two buildings. The 1st building includes a ticket booth for the new field that accommodates football, soccer, baseball, and lacrosse games & parades, new 700 seat bleachers with four press boxes, restrooms & a concession stand. The 2nd & larger building includes a new 800 seat Gymnasium for basketball & wrestling, a new Strength & Conditioning Center, new Athletic Training room, new Locker Rooms for both home & visiting teams, new administrative offices & conference rooms.
