Boho Townhaus

Boho Townhaus in Del Sur, California.

Moving. Scary for kids. Scary for parents who make the change in hopes it will make a better life.

What a lot of pressure.

I worked with this family of four who chose to move for a better education for their kids. No guarantees it will all work out. But they still made the leap.

It’s time like this it hits me hard just how important it is to make your house feel like “your home”.

We designed this home to feel like a big hug from a grandmamma. Quirky. Full of home. Endless love.

The budget was tight, as they just bought this new house while still maintaining their old house. To keep cost down we were smart with where we splurged: areas that got high use/ abuse + statement pieces. It’s like fashion: a Target trendy top paired with classic JOE’SJeans.

I enjoy projects that have challenges like… a tight budget, a tiny bathroom, a weird kitchen layout, a quick deadline, a bad flip, a scary bathroom, a zero personality house.

What sets apart a good designer from a remarkable one? Experience. Tricks. Thinking outside of the box. Resourceful. Clever. Can-do attitude.
