Army Navy Academy in sleepy Carlsbad Village by the Sea
Located in the small village of Carlsbad by the Sea, the Army Navy Academy was founded in 1910. This prestigious all-boys, 7th – 12th grade, private, college-prep, military school grooms the world’s future leaders.
The campus was in need of a new athletic facility to call their own. With the extraordinary generosity of the Duffield family & together with House & Dodge Architects, embrio design studio & Turner Construction their dream became a reality.
The new athletic facility called Duffield Sports Center includes two buildings.
The 1st building includes a ticket booth for the new field that accommodates football, soccer, baseball, and lacrosse games & parades, new 700 seat bleachers with four press boxes, restrooms & a concession stand.
The 2nd & larger building includes a new 800 seat Gymnasium for basketball & wrestling, a new Strength & Conditioning Center, new Athletic Training room, new Locker Rooms for both home & visiting teams, new administrative offices & conference rooms.
